Job description

A Merchandising Assistant supports the merchandising team in the development and execution of product strategies to optimize sales and profitability. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of products to meet customer demands. The Merchandising Assistant is also responsible for analyzing sales trends, preparing reports, and assisting in product presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the selection, procurement, and coordination of merchandise.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to maintain quality standards and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct market research and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for merchandising strategies.
  • Support the merchandising team in the creation of promotional materials and displays.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in merchandising, retail, or a similar role is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
