Description

Virtual Staffing Solutions is looking for Medical Charge Entry Specialists. This position is responsible for accurately entering patient charges into the billing system for various medical services and procedures. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and correct billing for medical facilities and contributes to the overall financial success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter charges for patient services into the billing software based on clinical documentation.
  • Ensure all necessary information is included and coded correctly for billing purposes.
  • Review and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and provider data.
  • Work closely with providers, coders, and billing staff to resolve any charge discrepancies or missing information.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal policies.
  • Meet daily and weekly charge entry deadlines to support timely billing.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve workflow or system issues.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to minimize errors and maximize accuracy
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Atleast a year of experience in medical billing, charge entry, or a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and insurance processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using billing software (e.g., Epic, Athena, Cerner, or other EMR systems).
  • Excellent data entry skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
