DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Charge Posting and Verification

  • Record all in-patient charges, including room rates, laboratory tests, medications, and medical supplies.
  • Verify all entries based on doctors' orders, nurses' notes, and department charge slips.
  • Post charges promptly in the billing system for daily updates.

Coordination with Nursing and Billing Departments

  • Coordinate regularly with nursing staff to validate patient consumption and service utilization.
  • Ensure all patient charge slips are complete, accurate, and duly signed before billing.
  • Communicate discrepancies or missing charges to respective units for correction.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain orderly and complete charge records for every in-patient.
  • Submit daily charge updates and reports to the Billing Department.
  • Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

Customer Service and Communication

  • Respond professionally to inquiries from patients, relatives, or staff regarding billing details.
  • Coordinate with the billing office to ensure patient bills are updated before discharge.
  • Provide courteous and accurate assistance when explaining patient account details.

Audit and Compliance

  • Participate in internal billing audits and reconciliations.
  • Adhere strictly to hospital billing procedures, accounting standards, and audit controls.
  • Report any irregularities, inconsistencies, or potential errors to immediate superior.

Professional Conduct

  • Maintain proper decorum, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.
  • Uphold hospital values and represent the institution with integrity and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, or any related course.
  • Preferably with experience in hospital billing, accounting, or charge entry.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and capable of handling confidential information.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in hospital billing systems, basic accounting, and MS Office applications.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Shift-based duty (may include weekends and holidays).
  • Must be willing to render overtime when needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: Php14, Php15,000.00 per month
