Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to join our engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable backend systems using modern Python frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using FastAPI and Django (Django REST Framework, ORM).

Build and support microservices and distributed systems with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

Implement and manage asynchronous workflows, background jobs, and task orchestration using Celery and

Design and maintain RESTful APIs following best practices in backend architecture and design patterns.

Work with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL/NoSQL) and implement efficient data models.

Leverage AWS services including EC2, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.

Collaborate closely with DevOps teams on Dockerized deployments, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production support.

Implement caching strategies, performance optimizations, and system observability.

Write and maintain high-quality unit and integration tests using pytest or Django's testing framework.

Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of professional backend development experience.

Strong proficiency in FastAPI and Django (DRF, ORM).

Deep understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and async programming.

Hands-on experience with , Celery, task queues, and background processing.

Solid experience with AWS cloud services (compute, storage, messaging, and monitoring).

Proficiency with Docker, containerization, and Git-based workflows.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.

Strong understanding of REST API design, MVC patterns, and backend design principles.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with domain-driven design and microservices-based systems.

Knowledge of caching tools and performance tuning.

Familiarity with GraphQL.

Basic frontend familiarity (React, Vue, or Django templating).

Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based teams.
