MUST-HAVES:

  1. Team player, adaptable, and flexible to the demands of time
  2. Graduate of any four-year course, ideally BS Elementary or Secondary Education, with a learning area specialization in Earth Science (or solid background on either Geology, Astronomy, Oceanography, or Environmental Science)
  3. Preferably with a teaching experience or with a background in publishing processes
  4. Prior experience in project management and supervision is an advantage
  5. With strong written and oral communication skills, goal-oriented, keen on details, and can operate with minimal supervision

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist authors, series coordinators, outsource persons (editors, evaluators, artists, designers, illustrators, among other specialists), as well as other external and internal customers, in meeting the production timeline
  2. Monitor files, documents, manuscripts, and other relevant materials to maintain smooth editorial and production workflow
  3. Assist in executing departmental and cross-functional processes to speed up production deliverables
  4. Perform physical checking, copyreading, and proofreading of subject-related manuscripts
  5. Perform other tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor or Managing Editor
