As our HR Associate - Compensation and Benefits, you will play a crucial role in supporting the administration of compensation, benefits, and government compliance processes within our organization. Your responsibilities include assisting with salary research, benefits administration, government compliance filings, and providing essential support to employees regarding compensation-related inquiries. Additionally, you will handle various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of HR processes, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR department.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 1 year of experience in compensation and benefits administration or HR-related role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Previous experience with HRIS or payroll software preferred.
Professional certification in Human Resources Management (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
Knowledge of Philippine labor laws, regulations, and government compliance requirements.
Experience in conducting salary research and analysis.
Familiarity with benefits administration processes and procedures.
Previous exposure to employee assistance programs and services is advantageous.
Competencies and Skills
Comprehensive understanding of compensation principles, including salary research, merit increases, and bonus programs.
Proficiency in benefits administration, encompassing benefits orientations, open enrollment processes, and government benefits facilitation.
In-depth knowledge of government compliance requirements related to employee benefits, such as SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate employees on compensation and benefits options and address their inquiries and concerns.
Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in administrative tasks, such as payroll endorsements, benefits validation, and record-keeping.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information and inquiries.
Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems to facilitate accurate processing of compensation and benefits-related transactions.
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
Essential Functions
Conduct semi-annual salary research to assess market competitiveness and support compensation strategy improvements.
Assist in implementing merit increases, bonuses, and performance-based pay adjustments aligned with company goals.
Communicate employee benefits, eligibility, and enrollment procedures; conduct orientations and open enrollment support.
Administer government benefits, ensuring compliance and timely processing of loans, reimbursements, and assistance programs.
Verify authenticity of receipts for lifestyle and wellness reimbursements submitted by employees.
Process payroll notes for deductions, bonuses, and adjustments in coordination with the payroll team.
Prepare and submit mandatory government reports (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and ensure compliance for new and separated employees.
Provide employee assistance on compensation and benefits inquiries, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
Support performance review coordination, recordkeeping, and preparation of Certificates of Employment (COE)
Validate pre-employment requirements for new hires, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
