This position is responsible for administering and implementing a health service program integrating occupational safety in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice and the company's rules and regulations. It is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by the Clinic. The Company Nurse must perform all of the Duties and Responsibilities outlined below to effectively assist the team members and the Clients with their medical needs and ensure delivery of optimal quality of care. The following are the core competencies required of the position:

  2. To maintain strict confidentiality on the team members health concerns and to act on this with utmost professionalism.

MAIN FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide nursing care to injured and sick team members and Clients.

  2. To coordinate with the accredited Diagnostic Center in the Pre-Employment Medical Examination, in the Annual Physical Examination and in the health maintenance program. In the absence of the Company Physician, to perform work activities which are within the scope allowed by the nursing profession and if more extensive examination are needed, to refer the same to the Company Physician.

  3. Actively participate in the maintenance of Occupational Health and Safety by attending the Monthly Health, Safety and Environment Committee Meeting and to give suggestions in the improvement of working environment affecting the health and well-being of the team members and clients.

  4. Maintains an updated and factual reporting and records system on the following items:

a. Daily Team Member and Guest Consultation

b. Individual Team Member Medical Record

c. Daily Medicine Consumption for both Team Members

d. Daily Accident and Injury Reports

e. Record on the regular inspection and replenishment of First Aid Kit

f. Complete list of Certified First Aiders

g. Daily Medical Insurance Availment

h. Updated Medicine Inventory

i. Updated List of Equipment and Medical Apparatus

j. Complete file of Updated Team Members' Health Cards

  1. Updated list of contact persons and contact number of Hospitals and the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation

  2. Prepares and submits the following reports:

a. Semi-annual annual medical report using form DOLE/BWC/HSD/OH-47

b. Monthly Medicine Consumption according to established procedure

c. Monthly Team Member and Hotel Guest Consultation, Accident & Injuries

d. Monthly Medical Insurance Availment

  1. Prepares and submits the following reports:

a. Semi-annual annual medical report using form DOLE/BWC/HSD/OH-47

b. Monthly Medicine Consumption according to established procedure

c. Monthly Team Member and Hotel Guest Consultation, Accident & Injuries

d. Monthly Medical Insurance Availment

  1. Collects nursing assessment data and documents in a timely, complete and factual manner.

  2. Administers medications to team members and Hotel Guest in accordance with the Company Physician's orders. Such medication administered must be properly documented in the Team Member's Individual Medical Record.

  3. Ensures that medicines and other clinic supplies are properly stored, received properly from the Receiving Department and accurately accounted for.

  4. Prepares Purchase Requisition or Market List for medicines and other clinic supplies in a timely manner to ensure continuity of Team Member and Hotel Guest care.

  5. Maintains medical equipments and apparatus in a clean and safe manner to ensure sanitary and good working condition. Reports any broken equipment or apparatus or hazardous situations to the Human Resource Manager or to the Chief Engineer.

  6. Conducts Home Visit on Sick Team Members upon instruction from the Human Resource Manager. In the absence of the Human Resource Manager, the Home Visit advice will come from the Division Head/Department Manager

  7. Assist in the investigation of accidents or injuries to Team Members and Clients take appropriate action to obtain medical care or maintain the health of the affected person.

  8. Assist the Team Members in accomplishing their Sick Leave application and Gate Pass once the Team Member has been advised by the Company Physician for Home or Hospital Confinement.

  9. Assist the Team Members in the availment of their Medical Insurance by liaising with the Insurance Coordinator in the issuance of Letter of Authorization and Approved Endorsements.

  10. Assist Team Members in the processing of their SSS Compensation Claims and other pertinent papers such as Philhealth, Sickness Notification and Disability Claims.

  11. Closely monitor the condition of the Sick Team Members whether they are under Home Confinement or Hospital Confinement and to give the Human Resource Manager and respective Department Head an update on the Team Member's condition.

  12. Update the Department Head of the Health Condition of their Team Member most especially if confinement or Sick Leave has been advised by the Physician.

  13. Completes and accomplish other task and projects assigned by the Human Resources Department.

Other Duties and responsibilities.

  1. Performs other tasks as delegated by the Division Head

  2. Ensure compliance of company policies and other legal requirements.

  3. Proactive in all auxiliary duties and responsibilities.

Registered nurse with OHNAP certificate

Work Related Experience

minimum 2 years experience as company nurse or clinical nurse

BACHELOR'S DEGREE
