KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Directly responsible for the accounting of a portfolio of hotels.

 Oversee accounts payable, invoicing, and accounts receivable processes for the hotels.

 Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to General Managers, Hotel Managers and other

stakeholders, recommending courses of action.

 Produce ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as required by management.

 Act as a key driver of forecasts and annual budgets, aligning them with the business's strategic goals.

 Analyze costs, variable contributions, sales results, and actual performance compared to business plans.

 Establish and streamline policies, procedures, and processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to best

practices.

 Liaise with and support General Managers on various financial and operational matters.

 Conduct procurement reviews and evaluations to identify cost-reduction opportunities.

 Monitor debtor balances and ensure timely collections.

 Assist in treasury management by monitoring and controlling cash on hand and bank balances.

 Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements and other applicable

local laws.

 Lead and manage the accounts department, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous

improvement.

 Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and efficiency.

 Monitor the financial performance of the portfolio and identify opportunities for improvement.

 Support hotel management teams in their decision-making with financial insights.

 Handle other ad-hoc financial analysis and tasks as reasonably required by management.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

 Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

 Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role,  within the hotel / hospitality industry.

 Strong knowledge of Opera, PMS, SUN or other hotel management software.

 Excellent knowledge of English language.

 Demonstrated experience in leading and developing people.

 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to address all levels within the organization and ability to

gain consensus.

 Strong understanding of accounting principles and frameworks and analytical skills.

 Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines & work well under pressure.

 Demonstrated experience working efficiently and with a high level of attention to detail.

 Prior experience in analyzing data and forecast future business trends, and to develop effective financial

plans based on businesses assessments.
