The DAS and GEM Intern will support Baker McKenzie's global team in managing directories, awards, survey submissions, and deal collection across offices. This role offers exposure to strategic initiatives and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that shape the Firm's market reputation.

The intern will help implement consistent standards and best practices for rankings and reporting, ensuring external profiles are accurate and aligned with global benchmarks. Responsibilities include quality checking, data gathering and analysis, and editing deal descriptions, while promoting process efficiency and quality across projects.

Ideal for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about legal marketing, business development, and strategic communications in a global law firm setting.

Responsibilities:

DAS

  • Audit the Rankings Database and Tableau sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency, including cleanup of lawyer names and updating PG/sector tags based on the new structure.
  • Extract top matters from recent Chambers and Legal 500 submissions using the extractor tool, to support the GRR survey form due around February/March.
  • Assist with pre-work, drafting, or post-submission tasks as assigned by the DAS lead.

GEM

  • Draft concise deal descriptions for the Deals List, ensuring pitch-ready quality for use in Pitch Point, the Firm's global pitch tool.
Skills and Experience:
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, especially Excel
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Flexible/ can switch tasks if needed (multitasking)
  • Can perform general administrative tasks such as taking down minutes of meetings and facilitating events
  • Can create presentation materials and reports
