A Company Nurse in a construction site is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of employees. The role involves providing immediate medical attention for injuries or illnesses, conducting health monitoring, and supporting occupational health and safety programs in compliance with labor and health regulations.

Detailed Job Description:

  • Provide first aid treatment and emergency care to workers in case of accidents, injuries, or sudden illnesses at the construction site.
  • Conduct daily health monitoring and maintain accurate medical records of employees.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor workers with chronic conditions.
  • Coordinate with doctors, hospitals, or clinics for referrals and further treatment when necessary.
  • Implement and assist in workplace health and safety programs in coordination with the Safety Department.
  • Conduct health education, awareness campaigns, and wellness programs for employees.
  • Ensure the medical clinic and first aid kits are complete, updated, and compliant with DOLE requirements.
  • Support compliance with occupational safety and health standards, including reporting and documentation of accidents or illnesses.
  • Participate in safety toolbox meetings and emergency drills.
  • Provide guidance on occupational health risks specific to construction activities (e.g., heat stress, dust exposure, noise hazards).

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN), licensed in the Philippines.
  • Preferably with Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training for nurses.
  • Experience in construction, industrial, or occupational health setting is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in first aid, emergency response, and DOLE/OSHS requirements.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
