Job Summary
The Company Nurse handles the efficient and professional management of health services and medical issues in accordance with company policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations in collaboration with company physician and human resources to achieve the goals and objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Nursing Roles
- Manages health emergencies and urgent situations.
- Responds to life-saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment, performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in case of emergency situations.
- Assists, refers, and carries out orders given by the Company Physician.
- Treats workers with illnesses or injuries, and then recommends even further steps in the workers' treatment plans.
- Inject vaccines (ex. Flu, Tetanus Toxoid vaccines) as prescribed and monitors any untoward reactions.
- Assesses health complaints, performs vital signs, administer medications, and implements first aid measures as needed.
- Establishes and adheres to budgets, maintains medical stocks and supplies, and oversees facilities maintenance.
- Manages referrals to hospitals and community health resources for intervention and follows through as needed.
- Maintains medical records and keeps confidentiality.
- Joins sport fests and events for medical needs.
- Participates in various training programs and seminars in line to the position.
- Covid-19 Prevention and Control Coordinator
- Monitors COVID 19-related cases.
- Ensures compliance with the national and local government workplace guidelines related to controlling COVID-19.
- Coordinates with the Local Government Units, Provincial Disease Surveillance and Provincial Department of Health in occurrence of confirmed cases.
- Oversees the development and implementation of the COVID-19 Prevention & Control Policies.
- Issues and instructs personnel on the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, goggles, face shields and face masks.
- Maintains, monitors, and purchases health declaration forms for employees and visitors and ensures the temperature screening and disinfection process are being properly applied.
- Recommends to the department head and/or or supervisor an employee who needs to undergo testing and/or quarantine.
- HMO Coordinator
- Liaises with the HMO Health Maintenance Organization provider and member for the day to day administration of health benefits, (check-up, hospitalization emergency cases), insurance coverage and dental program.
- Reports, monitors, and requests additions, deletions, corrections, billing and membership identification of the principal and dependent members.
- Assists members/employees before and during confinement and monitors until discharge as needed.
- Files and monitors the status of claims filed for reimbursement and life insurance by members.

Position Requirements
- Work Experience
With at least two (2) years work experience in a clinical setting.
- Education
- Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Must have a valid PRC license
- Personality Musts & Wants
- Able to multitask and meet deadlines
- Flexible
- Other Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Attended basic life support training (First Aid training)
- Basic Occupational Safety & Health certified is an advantage
- Work Environment
- Exposed to risk of communicable diseases and biological hazards (blood, needle prick injury)
