Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled and creative Web Developer with strong experience in Squarespace to help us design, build, and maintain high-quality websites for our clients. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the Squarespace platform, understands front-end web technologies, and is capable of customizing and enhancing templates beyond what's possible with drag-and-drop tools alone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop responsive websites using the Squarespace platform.
  • Customize Squarespace templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implement custom code blocks and third-party integrations as needed.
  • Optimize website performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver pixel-perfect, on-brand web experiences.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on existing Squarespace sites.
  • Provide client training or documentation for basic content updates, when required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building websites using Squarespace (please provide portfolio or examples).
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript for front-end customization.
  • Experience with Squarespace Developer Mode is a plus.
  • Ability to implement basic SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with integrating third-party tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Calendly, Stripe).
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with international clients or agencies.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., using Figma, Adobe XD, or Canva).
  • Understanding of e-commerce via Squarespace Commerce.
  • Experience with other platforms like WordPress, Webflow, or Wix.
