THE OPPORTUNITY

Join our growing team at Accolution, a leading provider of bookkeeping and virtual CFO services in Australia We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to work remotely and manage a portfolio of diverse clients, primarily small businesses across various industries.

As a key member of our team, you will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records using Xero and QuickBooks Online. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your Australian bookkeeping expertise and contribute to the success of dynamic businesses while enjoying the flexibility of working from home as a contractor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the complete bookkeeping cycle for a client portfolio, including accurate financial transaction reconciliation, payroll processing, Accounts Payable management (supplier bills and payments), and GST/BAS compliance.
  • Manage month-end closing processes for assigned clients, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and ready for reporting.
  • Generate and review accurate financial reports (e.g. P&L and Balance Sheet) for client use.
  • Proactively resolve client issues, using initiative to deliver exceptional service and ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate effectively with Client Managers to meet client needs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A motivated individual with 3+ years of Australian bookkeeping experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero is essential, and experience with QuickBooks Online and Odoo is a strong plus
  • Business level English proficiency with the ability to communicate clearly with Australian clients via email, video and phone calls
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • An analytical and logical thinker
  • Great teamwork and client service abilities
  • Comfortable with technology and used to working online
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
  • A CA/CPA designation is advantageous
