Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis

· Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

· Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS).

· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

· Lead or support the monthly and annual closing processes

· Prepare adjusting entries and ensure all financial activity is recorded accurately

· Work with auditors during annual audits, providing schedules and documentation

Budgeting and Forecasting

· Support the budgeting process by providing financial data and insights

· Assist in variance analysis between actuals vs. budget/forecast

· Accounts Payable/Receivable Oversight

· Review AP/AR transactions for accuracy and compliance2.

· Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments

· Manage aging reports and collections as needed.

Tax and Compliance

· Assist in preparation of tax filings

· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

· Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor request2s.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

· Implement and monitor internal controls over financial reporting.

· Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements

Asset Management

· Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

· Ensure proper capitalization and disposal of assets.

Other Tasks

· Mentor and supervise junior accountants or clerks.

· Participate in system or policy implementations

· Support financial modeling or business analysis projects.

· All other tasks as assigned

· Skills Required:

· Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel

· Familiarity in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc(3)

· Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

· Attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent written and verbal communication

· Willingness to assist and support team members

Other Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy. CPA preferred but not required

· years of experience in a similar industry or service-oriented business.
