About the Role

This position is responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, project cost tracking, and internal controls, with a focus on the construction industry. The Accountant ensures accurate revenue recognition, progress billing, and expense monitoring, while coordinating with auditors, tax authorities, and company executives. The role also involves leading the accounting team, streamline financial processes, and provide financial insights to support business decisions.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), taxation laws, and BIR compliance.
  • Expertise in construction accounting principles, including job costing, progress billing, revenue recognition, and expense tracking.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or Oracle NetSuite).
  • Strong analytical skills for financial forecasting, cost analysis, and risk management.
  • Experience in handling audits and liaising with external auditors and government agencies (BIR, SEC, etc.).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for coordination with contractors, suppliers, and company executives.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in corporate accounting within the construction industry.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and cost control for construction projects.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) – Strongly preferred.
  • Construction Financial Management Certification (CFMA) – Advantageous.
  • Training in Philippine Taxation, Cost Accounting, or Financial Planning is a plus.
