Blackfish is looking for a warm, polished, and engaging Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. This role is central to creating a memorable and welcoming experience from the very first moment. The ideal candidate has a natural talent for hospitality, a great presence, and the organizational skills to manage our reservation flow seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Host/Hostess is the face of Blackfish, responsible for setting the tone for the guest's entire visit. Key responsibilities include:
  • Warmly welcome and greet guests upon arrival, and extend a sincere thank you upon departure.
  • Manage and confirm reservations across phone, messaging apps, and social media platforms.
  • Efficiently seat guests and manage the seating chart to ensure a smooth service flow for both guests and the service team.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries via social media in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the menu, ongoing promotions, and special events to answer guest questions.
  • Provide accurate wait times and manage the waiting list during peak periods.
  • Liaise with the service team to relay guest needs and special requests.
  • Ensure the host stand and entrance area are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

Qualifications

  • A natural warmth and engaging personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a confident, professional phone manner.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail, especially when managing reservations.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm and courteous under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be located in or reliably commute to Pampanga.

Blackfish is an elevated casual dining restaurant and craft cocktail bar located in Angeles City, Pampanga. With a seating capacity of 100, we combine progressive food and beverage with a thoughtful, service-forward approach. Since our establishment in 2018, we have expanded into our third and most ambitious location to date.

Our team is built on a strong culture of collaboration, discipline, and continuous improvement. We aim to set new standards in food and beverage service in the region, with a particular focus on leadership development, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time
