Job Description:

  • Media Relations:

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets.

  • Write press releases.

  • Pitch stories to journalists or media outlets.

  • Respond to media inquiries.

  • Arrange interviews for company executives.

  • Crisis Communication:

  • Act quickly during negative events.

  • Manage crisis communication efforts.

  • Craft official statements to protect or rebuild the brand's reputation.

  • Strategic Messaging:

  • Shape the way the public perceives the company.

  • Ensure consistent tone and messaging across all platforms (website, social media platforms.)

  • Event Planning:

  • Organize press conferences, product launches, or public events.

  • Organize press events specifically for media exposure.

  • Coordinate guest lists, media kits, and post-event media coverage.

  • Internal Communication:

  • Keep employees informed and engaged, especially during major changes or crises.

  • Develop newsletters or internal announcements.

  • Social Media Monitoring:

  • Track brand mentions and public sentiment online.

  • Address negative comments diplomatically when needed.

  • Reputation Management:

  • Monitor how the company is being talked about across all channels.

  • Engage in campaigns and initiatives to boost public opinion.

  • Media Monitoring:

  • Regularly monitor media coverage related to the company and industry trends.

  • Provide reports and insights based on media monitoring.

  • Stakeholder Relations:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community influencers.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional experience in media relations, public relations, or communications.

  • Expertise in crisis management and strategic messaging.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and press release drafting skills.

  • Ability to pitch stories effectively to the media.

  • Skilled in event planning and coordination.

  • Knowledge of media monitoring tools and techniques.

  • Strong understanding of social media management and online reputation strategies.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field (preferred).
