Job ResponsibilitiesPattern Maker

  1. Develops, revises, and reconstructs garment patterns based on Product Development requirements.

  2. Prepares single-size samples for approval and tracks the progress of revised patterns.

  3. Coordinates with Product Development regarding sample approval and produces size set samples once approved.

  4. Creates hard patterns for use in production.

  5. Ensures accurate documentation and communication of all pattern revisions and approvals.

Cutter / Spreader

  1. Cuts fabrics according to sewing and production specifications.

o Ensures all cut fabrics comply with company quality standards.

o Verifies correct use of markers.

o Maintains accuracy and focus during cutting operations.

o Observes all safety protocols.

  1. Spreads fabrics following standard procedures and ensures correct fabric type is used to prevent errors or rework.

  2. Prepares accurate cutting reports and logbook updates for reference by the next process.

  3. Handles and transfers materials, including spandex, relaxed fabrics, bias rolls, and brown paper, to designated areas or machines.

  4. Reviews and prepares markers to maximize material utilization and accuracy.

o Confirms correct patterns are applied.

o Analyzes marker layout, including width, parts, sizes, and ratios.

  1. Maintains workplace organization by properly disposing of cutting waste and keeping the area neat and orderly.

  2. Participates in the annual fabric inventory.

  3. Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  1. Strong expertise in pattern-making, cutting and spreading

  2. Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and grading.

  3. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with a team.

  4. High attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.

  5. Strong problem-solving skills, especially regarding pattern accuracy, fit, and manufacturability.

  6. Knowledge of various fabric types and their properties.

  7. Several years of relevant experience as a Pattern Maker and Cutter, preferably with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing is an advantage
  • With working experience in garment manufacturing is an advantage
  • Able to work as part of a team.
