Job Description

As a US Bookkeeper, you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts for international clients. Your expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and US GAAP will ensure the integrity of every ledger while helping global teams make informed decisions.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • At least 1 year US Accounting and Bookkeeping experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
  • Able to prepare, review, and understand a financial statement

Your Daily Tasks

  • Maintain records of day-to-day financial transactions by verifying accounts and posting transactions
  • Code and enter expense invoices, run checks, process billings, and prepare bank deposits while ensuring accurate debit and credit entries in the general ledger
  • Perform credit card and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
  • Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries
  • Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
