Role description:The role sits in GEC Urban Development and reports directly to the Discipline Director, with a dotted line to the Business Development Director. The successful candidate will work closely with North America on a daily basis.
Role accountabilities:Verify and sign off on milestone delivery of projects/tasks, and communicate concerns or developments with the region as needed. Ensure project/task delivery aligns with Management Systems to meet time, quality, and budget requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
Engage with senior leadership in the region on technical matters. Develop and implement digital solutions for urban development projects, focusing on capability and development. Contribute to strategic planning for skills and capabilities based on identified gaps between current and future needs.
Support the development of GEC competence and skills to support growth, efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability. Build technical leadership within GEC to attract more work from countries. Collaborate with BIM and Design Automation leads to develop automated solutions and digital tools.
Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Experience preparing, reviewing, and updating urban design plans and civil engineering works for various projects. Over 15 years of experience working on civil projects.
Excellent English communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, eager to learn, and supportive. Willingness to work abroad periodically.
Proficiency in Civil 3D & Navisworks. Experience with 2D and/or 3D technical plan design for residential or industrial areas. Ability to develop and implement digital solutions for urban development projects.
