IT Manager

Role Overview

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the stability, security, and performance of technology systems across our network of schools. This role covers end-to-end IT operations, including hardware and software support, user assistance, network reliability, and coordination with external service providers to ensure smooth daily operations.

As a key contributor to our learning environment, the IT Manager ensures that educators, staff, and students have consistent access to reliable and secure technology. The role sits within the Technology team and works closely with internal partners such as Systems Operations, Engineering, and School Operations, as well as third-party vendors. Success in this role requires strong technical capability, sound judgment, and the ability to manage priorities across multiple locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesIT Support and Service Management

• Handle and resolve IT support requests from staff across multiple school sites.
• Provide technical assistance for Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Identify issues requiring escalation and coordinate with vendors or advanced support teams.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and recurring technical concerns.

Microsoft Systems Administration

• Manage Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), including user access, roles, and security group configurations.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 tenant setup, licensing management, and compliance requirements.
• Administer SharePoint and Microsoft Teams environments to support secure collaboration.
• Monitor system performance and address potential risks before they impact operations.

Network and Device Management

• Support and maintain network infrastructure in coordination with external providers to ensure stable connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues involving firewalls, switches, and wireless networks.
• Work with vendors to provision and support staff devices, including laptops, peripherals, and classroom equipment.
• Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition through decommissioning.

Information Security and Compliance

• Apply and enforce IT security standards, including endpoint security, system updates, and access management.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine security reviews and vulnerability checks.
• Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical systems and data.

Web Services and Vendor Coordination

• Oversee website hosting services to ensure availability, security, and performance.
• Coordinate with vendors for web hosting, domain services, and SSL certificate management.
• Manage vendor performance, contracts, and issue resolution to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.

QualificationsRequired

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT management or a comparable role.
• Hands-on experience with network administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Entra, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple school locations.
• Experience managing vendors and third-party service providers.

Preferred

• Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
• Prior experience in an education or school-based environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php70, Php140,000.00 per month
