Production Junior Supervisor

The Production Junior Supervisor is responsible for assisting in managing daily SMT line operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals are met. The role supports the supervisor in monitoring machine performance, manpower allocation, material availability, and adherence to work instructions and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising SMT production activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Monitor SMT line performance, yield, and machine utilization, escalating issues to the Supervisor or Engineering team as needed.
  • Ensure proper manpower allocation, attendance, and discipline of operators and line leaders.
  • Support preventive maintenance schedules and ensure SMT machines (pick & place, printers, reflow ovens, AOI, SPI, etc.) are running smoothly.
  • Conduct line audits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, ESD control, and safety regulations.
  • Assist in training and coaching operators and line leaders in technical skills, quality awareness, and productivity improvement.
  • Coordinate with planning, engineering, and quality departments to resolve production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Generate and review daily production reports, tracking output, downtime, defects, and rework rates.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize defects.
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by the SMT Supervisor or Production Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in SMT/PCB Assembly production environment.
  • Knowledgeable in SMT machines (Fuji, Panasonic, Yamaha, or similar), reflow process, solder paste printing, AOI/SPI inspection.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with attention to detail.
