A successful Relationship Manager must have a strong background in business development, client engagement, and strategic consulting, with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships. The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or a related field, with an MBA or equivalent being a significant advantage. Prior experience in consulting, sales, or business development is essential, preferably within a family business environment or network. Entrepreneurial in mindset, the RM should have a proven ability to identify and convert business opportunities, meet and exceed sales targets, and drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships.
Strong communication and influencing skills are critical, with the ability to engage clients persuasively, deliver compelling presentations, and foster trust-based relationships. The candidate should demonstrate high emotional intelligence, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities, ensuring they can navigate complex business challenges while maintaining a client-first approach. A deep understanding of family business governance, succession planning, and wealth preservation is highly preferred. Ideal candidates will exhibit a values-driven and ethical leadership style, aligning with PFBC's mission to support family businesses in achieving sustainable growth.

B. Job Summary
The Relationship Manager (RM) serves as a key driver of business growth and client success by strategically managing and expanding PFBC's portfolio of family business clients. This role requires a deep understanding of family enterprise dynamics, allowing the RM to position consulting services that are not only relevant but also highly personalized to each client's stage of development and generational context. The RM actively identifies new business opportunities, initiates client conversations, and translates business challenges into structured consulting engagements. In doing so, the RM helps ensure that PFBC continues to deliver value-driven solutions that strengthen the long-term health of its clients' businesses and family legacies.
Beyond client acquisition, the RM is equally focused on deepening relationships with existing clients to support retention and long-term partnership. This includes conducting regular check-ins, facilitating feedback loops, and working closely with consulting teams to align service delivery with evolving client needs. The RM monitors client satisfaction and engagement trends, proactively addressing any concerns and identifying additional opportunities for support. By maintaining trust-based relationships and consistently delivering strategic insights, the RM helps position PFBC as a trusted advisor and partner in the multigenerational success of family enterprises.
C. Duties and Responsibilities1. Business Development & Sales Engagement
- Identify, develop, and execute strategies to engage potential family business clients.
- Drive sales initiatives by setting and achieving quotas, adjusting performance as needed, and refining processes to enhance client acquisition and retention.
- Utilize PFBC's communication and marketing strategy to establish meaningful connections with individuals, institutions, associations, and family foundations.
Promote PFBC's Family Focus Discussion (FFD) program and other consulting services within personal and professional networks.
Client Relationship Management
Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with clients and strategic partners.
- Act as a trusted advisor to family businesses, providing insights into asset protection, wealth preservation, succession planning, and/or risk mitigation.
Collaborate with Senior and Partner Consultants to offer comprehensive business consulting solutions tailored to the needs of each family business.
Consulting & Professional Growth
Participate in the Consultants Development Program to acquire new skill sets and enhance client servicing competencies.
- Support and apply best practices in family business governance, asset protection, and wealth perpetuation.
Prepare and deliver insightful reports and presentations related to corporate formation, ownership transitions, and business continuity planning.
Ethics & Alignment with PFBC Values
Uphold PFBC's vision, mission, and core values, ensuring that they are integrated into business solutions.
