The QA/QC is responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with quality standards, contract specifications, and relevant codes. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance plans, conducting inspections and audits, managing non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensuring proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plan in accordance with client specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Review project specifications and drawings to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct and coordinate quality audits, inspections, and testing during construction activities.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality compliance.
  • Manage the process of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain up-to-date quality documentation, including ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), checklists, and reports.
  • Provide training and awareness to site personnel on quality standards and best practices.
  • Interface with clients, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies regarding quality-related issues.
  • Ensure that materials and workmanship meet established standards and contractual requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
  • Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry (residential), preferably with large-scale infrastructure or building projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with local and international construction codes and standards.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QA/QC documentation software.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM)
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor
  • PMP or equivalent construction-related certification (optional)
