JOB OVERVIEW

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Tester ensures that a product or system meets the requirements and specifications outlined by stakeholders before it is released to the end-users. They play a key role in validating and verifying the system's functionality, ensuring it is ready for production and that it delivers the desired user experience. UAT Testers collaborate closely with business users, developers, and QA teams to execute test cases and confirm that all requirements are fulfilled.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to understand user requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Design and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.

• Execute user acceptance tests to validate that the system meets user needs and expectations.

• Identify, document, and track defects, resolving them before release.

• Verify that new features and updates work as intended from an end-user perspective.

• Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.

• Provide clear, concise feedback on test results and system performance.

• Communicate with developers and project teams to resolve issues identified during testing.

• Assist in training business users to test and use the application effectively.

• Prepare and maintain test documentation for audit purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong experience in user acceptance testing and functional testing.

• Proficiency in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and defect tracking.

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios.

• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center).

• Strong communication skills to work with business users, developers, and QA teams.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
