The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes of the company, from procurement of raw materials and ingredients to inventory management, distribution, and supplier relationships. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven supply of goods to support operations, while maintaining strict compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.

ey Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for the best quality, price, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
  • Ensure all suppliers meet food safety, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

2. Inventory & Warehousing

  • Develop and maintain inventory control systems for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels to meet operational demands while minimizing wastage, especially for perishable items.
  • Oversee proper storage, temperature control, and rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to maintain freshness and safety.

3. Logistics & Distribution

  • Plan and manage transportation, delivery schedules, and distribution to multiple locations/branches.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely replenishment and minimal downtime for operations.

4. Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and marketing teams to forecast demand based on seasonal trends, promotions, and sales data.
  • Adjust supply chain plans proactively to address fluctuations in demand.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with local food regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to handle product recalls, non-conformance, and supplier audits.

6. Cost Management & Optimization

  • Monitor and control supply chain costs without compromising quality.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

7. Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and develop the supply chain and procurement team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain or procurement experience in the food & beverage, restaurant, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, ISO, FDA, etc.).
  • Proficient in ERP systems and supply chain software.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
