Core Responsibilities:

  • Order Flow Management:Monitors the steady stream of incoming orders from waiters and ensures they are relayed accurately to the kitchen staff.
  • Quality Control:Inspects each finished dish for accuracy, proper presentation, and adherence to the restaurant's standards before it's sent out.
  • Communication Hub:Acts as a vital link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, relaying special requests, modifications, and dietary restrictions.
  • Timing and Pacing:Ensures dishes are prepared and served in a coordinated manner, setting the rhythm for the entire kitchen operation.
  • Problem Solving:Addresses issues on the spot to keep service running smoothly and efficiently.
