Site Architect

Responsible for providing direction, coordination and supervision of all architectural works and participate in value engineering.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Project Management

* Direct the architectural works, review design and submittals to ensure value engineering and constructability

* Familiarize oneself with the specifications, requirements and schedule of Architectural drawings under his direction and coordination

* Conduct actual site surveys of all Architectural works and report its status to the Project Manager

* Do and check architectural calculations as needed and reports deviation from architectural standards

* Inspect and report architectural/finishing defects

* Review work progress (percentage of work completed) submitted by contractor in the weekly/monthly reports and report the same to the Project Manager

* Plan and review with the contractors and their superintendents, the program of works including method statement, procedures, layout, equipment, manpower requirements, and contractors interface and coordination

* Ensure all architectural works are coordinated with the MEP and all required architectural box outs are inserted before concreting

* Supervise and control work program submitted by Architectural contractors

* Review and comment on submitted schedules and report it to the Project Manager accordingly

* Conduct site inspections as necessary to ensure that the submitted daily report by the contractor is correct and accurate and monitor contractor's manpower at site based on the approved program. Any deviations to be reported to the project manager

* Control, record, and report on Architectural/finishing contractor's implementation of the work plan and report to project manager any quality issues

* Monitor ongoing Architectural works on a daily basis to ensure timely performance and compliance with plans and specifications

* Evaluate any modifications or changes that may occur during project period and provide alternative solutions where necessary

* Monitor and expedite contractor's procurement of architectural material equipment. Report to project management any delay and critical items; ensure materials delivered to site comply with approved material submittals

* Monitor, expedite and supervise the Architectural contractor's methods of testing and commissioning while actively participating in the said procedure

* Control, record, and report on contractor's implementation of construction, testing, and commissioning plans

* Facilitate/conduct work & material inspections, non-conformance report and other quality/safety related inspections

* Review and comment on contractor's application for payment

* Monitor, expedite and review contractor's submittals of closeout documents and as-built drawings

* Maintain accurate records on a current basis such as daily report, drawings, specifications, VOs, correspondence, transmittals, etc.,

* Oversee the performance of contractor's/consultant's architect

* Agree joint/hold inspection points with consultant's architect

* Recommend additional material tests when needed

* Review tender documents, RFI's, transmittals and expedite the response from the Consultant

* Advise and resolve engineering/design issues in liaison with the Consultant during construction phase as well as providing supervision services on behalf of DAAR

* Provide technical comments/responses to queries related to construction, methods and processes during various project delivery phases

B. Project Interface

* Coordinate and communicate within various department sections in order to report project design, engineering and construction issues

* Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project; liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws

* Communicate with construction and operation to discuss contractor's designs/changes/technical concerns and other related issue

* Advise on project management and Architectural matters to the Project Team and when required by the Management for all projects undertaken by the company for execution

* Participate in site and progress meetings, and other to inform the status of construction activities in various packages and to highlight any critical item

* Organize and conduct regular (weekly or bi-weekly) coordination meetings involving all relevant parties to review performance of the previous period and to develop coordinated program for the coming period.

Pay: Php19, Php20,000.00 per month
