Location : Makati City

The Role:

We're looking for an Azure Data Engineer to develop and manage our Azure Data Platform. You'll work with our external provider to design, build, and maintain solutions using Azure technologies. This role requires strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and data platforms, as well as relevant certifications.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain data solutions on Azure Data Platform (implementation done by an external provider).
• Work closely with data architects, developers, data scientists, and engineers to plan and refine solution designs.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure our external supplier delivers high-quality, efficient solutions.
• Partner with Data Ambassadors and the Data Center of Excellence to gather requirements, define scope, and manage project expectations.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Azure Data Platform services (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Cognitive Services, Cosmos DB, etc.).
• Integrate data from multiple systems such as SAP, Salesforce, databases, SCADA, and PIMS.
• Stay current with Azure best practices and industry trends, applying them to improve our solutions.
• Monitor performance and scalability, recommending improvements as needed.
• Work with operations teams to ensure the solution is secure, compliant, and always available.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Oversee AI model deployment on Azure and monitor their performance.
• Create prototypes and innovative solutions to stay ahead of market trends.
• Build and manage data warehouses, data lakehouses, and real-time data streaming solutions.
• Automate data processes through orchestration workflows.
• Ensure data quality, security, and privacy while making data easy to access and use.

What We're Looking For:

• Must have 4-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in similar positions, with a focus on Azure Data Platform.
• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is required
• A Master's in Business or Data Science/Analytics is a plus.
• Must possess either a DP-203 Azure Data Engineer Associate Certification or a AZ-305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions Certification
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required ; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Expertise in data platforms (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse).
• Strong knowledge of Azure services: Data Lake, Databricks, Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Cognitive Services, Cosmos DB, etc.
• Ability to design scalable, efficient Azure solutions.
• Familiarity with data management principles, data integration, and DAMA capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with all levels of the organization.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and remotely.
