Role Overview

We are seeking a
Cyber Data Engineer
who will apply software engineering principles to design, deploy, and maintain fully automated data transformation pipelines. This role focuses on leveraging various storage and computation technologies to manage diverse data types and volumes—ensuring scalability, flexibility, and efficiency in support of modern data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Microsoft Azure services (e.g.,
    Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Fabric
    ).
  • Utilize Azure data storage services (e.g.,
    Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2, Azure Blob Storage
    ) for managing data pipeline outputs.
  • Collaborate with
    data scientists, analysts, and architects
    to understand data requirements and deliver quality solutions.
  • Optimize data pipelines for
    performance, scalability, and reliability
    in the Azure environment.
  • Ensure
    data integrity and quality
    through validation techniques and frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain
    technical documentation
    for data processes and configurations.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues promptly.
  • Stay updated with
    emerging technologies
    to enhance data engineering capabilities.
  • Manage
    CI/CD processes
    for data solution deployment and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science, Engineering
    , or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a
    Data Engineer
    or similar role managing data and ETL processes.
  • Strong knowledge of
    Microsoft Azure services
    , including Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Blob Storage, and Data Lake Gen 2.
  • Proficiency in
    SQL DML
    for querying modern RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Solid understanding of
    Software Engineering principles
    (CI/CD, version control, testing).
  • Experience with
    big data technologies
    (e.g., Spark).
  • Excellent
    problem-solving, communication, and collaboration
    skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience with
    Python
    , or other languages (Scala, Java, C#, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience building
    Spark applications using PySpark
    .
  • Familiarity with
    file formats
    such as Parquet, Delta, Avro.
  • Experience integrating
    API endpoints
    as data sources.
  • Understanding of
    Azure DevOps pipelines, Git workflows,
    and
    Ansible
    .
  • Exposure to
    technical leadership and consulting
    in business-driven environments.
