Job Summary:

The Technical Service Representative (TSR) is responsible for providing technical assistance, diagnostics, and product support to customers and internal teams. This role ensures that vehicle repairs and maintenance are carried out accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer standards and company policies. The TSR also serves as a technical liaison between customers, technicians, and manufacturers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to service technicians, service advisors, and customers.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
  • Conduct test drives, inspections, and verification of repair quality.
  • Assist in the preparation of repair estimates and technical reports.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with manufacturer standards and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with the manufacturer or principal for technical bulletins, warranty claims, and service campaigns.
  • Train and mentor technicians on new technologies, diagnostic tools, and proper repair procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to vehicle performance or workmanship.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, technical findings, and service histories.
  • Support service operations in maintaining high customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical/vocational course.
  • At least 1 year of experience in automotive service, diagnostics, or technical support.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, electrical, transmission, suspension, etc.).
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, service manuals, and computer-based systems.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented and able to explain technical information in simple terms.
  • Preferably with manufacturer or dealership training certifications.
