Your Role:

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, creation and execution of manual tests required to validate the quality of the applications under test on agile methodology using scrum.
  • As a QA Analyst, your role includes working closely with multiple stakeholders to define suitable testing strategies based on the characteristics of the individual projects.
  • Your focus should be test automation but can be assigned to do manual testing activities based on the project needs.
  • Creation, maintenance, optimization and execution of manual and automation test scripts which need to be scalable, highly performant, maintainable and meet high quality standards.
  • The QA team are part of a team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications on agile process.
  • The candidate will interact closely with multiple teams, development and business analysts, and other technical groups and resources.
  • Participate in peer reviews of manual and automation test scripts to ensure adherence to testing standards.
  • Produce individual QA status reports while supporting the defect management process.
  • Work closely with the Scrum team.
  • Communicate and report on assigned tasks to the QA Lead/Manager.
  • Take responsibility and exhibit ownership of assigned tasks.

About You:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or similar discipline.
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in an agile testing specific role.
  • 3+ years' experience in a functional / automation testing or development specific role.
  • With relevant experience with the following applications/tools: JIRA, Xray, Confluence.
  • With 2-3+ years' experience on any of the following technologies: NodeJS, Javascript language, Rest API and Playwright or Selenium.
  • With relevant background in QA processes, the Software Development Lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Able to set priorities, to be flexible with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Display critical, quality-orientated, skeptical thinking about the product.
  • Proactive person willing to accept responsibility with very little handholding.
  • Ability to work in fast paced, complex Business & IT environments
  • Must be able to work in high-pressure environment, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Accurately evaluate and report test results, test progress and product quality.
  • Permanent working night shift schedule is a must.

  • ISTQB Foundation Software Certification a distinct advantage.

  • Amenable to work 2x Onsite and Morning per week in Makati

  • Open to Project based employment (initial 6 months or 12 months w/ possibility of extension based on your performance)
