STARLUX Airlines is searching for Passenger Sales Specialist to join our team in Manila. Check out the responsibilities and qualifications below to see if this position is for you

Responsibilities

  1. Assist with the timely planning and implementing of sales strategies and programs.

  2. Maintain relationships with existing agents and visit potential agents to prospect for new business.

  3. Represent organization at product seminars to local agents.

  4. Manage corporate accounts and key customers.

  5. Acquire sales leads to promote awareness of STARLUX products; plan sales calls and submit sales call plans and reports.

  6. Develop a network of contacts with the travel industry, corporations, local hotels, government officials, clubs, and schools.

  7. Research, gather and report the latest developments in the airline industry.

  8. Handle payment and expense reimbursement arrangements for joint campaigns with trade partners.

  9. Liaise with the Headquarters' revenue management team and relevant departments to launch activities per the sales strategy plan.

  10. Perform related duties as assigned for efficient and effective functioning of work unit.

Qualifications

  1. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a busy and evolving environment, whilst delivering professional support services.

  2. Communication and interpersonal effectiveness.

  3. Problem-solving skills to overcome organizational challenges on people policies, issues and conflicts.

  4. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred

  1. Self-motivated, proactive, a multitasker and team player.

  2. Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  3. Reliable, independent, and can bring positivity and energy to the team.

  4. Has excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

  5. Demonstrate skills and knowledge in GDS systems, such as Amadeus.

  6. Has excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, communications, advertising or related field.

Work Experience

2-3 years experience in travel industry/Airlines sales, marketing or communications.

Language Requirements

  1. Excellent command of spoken and written English

  2. Mandarin language skills a plus.
