RESPONSIBILITIES

The accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate ISO-compliant processes across the organization. The roles and responsibilities include:

  1. ISO Compliance & Audit Readiness

  2. ISO Documentation & Recordkeeping

  3. Internal Audits
  4. External Audit Support
  5. Continuous Improvement
  6. Monitor compliance metrics and recommend process improvements.
  7. Track and report progress on action plans from audits.

  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISO standards.

  9. General Accounting

  10. Enter financial transactions into the computerized accounting system.

  11. Generate account balances and analyze transaction details.
  12. Process payments, file and archive relevant documents.
  13. Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for head office.
  14. Prepare monthly financial reports for field offices. Review budget vs. actual expenses reports. Ensure that financial reports are prepared and submitted on time to meet donor deadlines.
  15. Prepare and review budgets for proposal submissions.
  16. Prepare and review financial forecasts as needed.
  17. Undertake any other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to evolving organizational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
  • Certified Public Accountant is an advantage
  • At least 6 months of accounting or auditing experience.
  • Familiarity/knowledge in ISO compliance process (ISO 9001 or similar) is required.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Amenable to hybrid work set-up (3x a week onsite)
