Job Title: Safety Officer

Job Description:

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. They conduct regular site inspections, identify potential hazards, and enforce safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. The Safety Officer also provides safety training and ensures compliance with company policies and government standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety inspections and audits at project sites.
  • Identify, report, and recommend corrective actions for hazards.
  • Enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and safety orientations for workers.
  • Prepare and submit safety reports and incident investigations.
  • Coordinate with management to implement safety improvement plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any related course.
  • Must have a valid COSH (Construction Occupational Safety and Health) or SO2 Certificate.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction or related industry.
  • Knowledgeable in DOLE safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and observation skills.
