The Merchandising Manager (Product Development) is responsible for leading the end-to-end product development process—from concept to commercialization. This role ensures that product assortments are aligned with market trends, brand direction, and business objectives. The position works closely with design, marketing, and supply chain teams to deliver innovative, market-ready products that drive sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the product development process including conceptualization, sourcing, sampling, costing, and product launch.
  • Conduct market and trend research to identify new product opportunities and category expansion.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products.
  • Develop and maintain the product assortment strategy to meet sales and margin targets.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and E-commerce teams for product positioning, pricing, and promotions.
  • Analyze product performance, sell-through, and customer feedback to inform future development decisions.
  • Ensure product compliance with brand standards, quality specifications, and local regulations.
  • Manage product lifecycle from development to end-of-life, including SKU rationalization and replacement strategies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the merchandising team to achieve business and professional growth goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in merchandising, product development, or category management (preferably in retail, fashion, or consumer goods).
  • Strong knowledge of product sourcing, pricing strategy, and vendor negotiation.
  • Excellent understanding of market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with inventory systems.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Php40, Php50,000.00 per month
