Job Summary:

The Distributor Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for managing and growing the sales and distribution operations across Region 1 (Ilocos Region) and Region 3 (Central Luzon). The DSM will oversee distributor performance, ensure achievement of sales targets, drive market penetration, and execute trade marketing strategies to strengthen the company's brand presence in assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and implement regional sales plans and strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and market share goals.
  • Regularly review distributor sales performance and recommend improvements.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and channels within assigned regions.

2. Distributor Management

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned distributors, including sales planning, inventory management, pricing, and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor distributor KPIs (sales volume, coverage, collections, etc.) and address performance gaps through coaching and joint business planning.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and market visits to assess route effectiveness and market execution.

3. Team Leadership

  • Lead and support Area Sales Supervisors, Sales Representatives, and Distributor Salesmen under assigned territories.
  • Provide sales training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure team efficiency and capability growth.

4. Trade Execution & Marketing

  • Ensure proper implementation of merchandising and promotional programs in trade.
  • Monitor trade dynamics and competitor activities, providing market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support the roll-out of marketing initiatives and campaigns in collaboration with Trade Marketing.

5. Operational & Financial Control

  • Ensure timely collection and accounts receivable management from distributors.
  • Review and approve distributor claims, rebates, and incentives in line with policy.
  • Manage distributor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales and distributor management in FMCG, pharmaceuticals, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in regional sales leadership and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of the North and Central Luzon trade landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the assigned regions.
