Position Title: Accounts Operations Officer (AOO)

Job Summary:The Accounts Operations Officer oversees day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The role involves managing financial transactions, reviewing reports, supervising accounting staff, and supporting audits and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and review the work of accounting staff in processing vouchers, invoices, and payments.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and analyses for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems and workflows.
  • Handle escalated issues related to billing, collections, or reconciliation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of accounting or financial operations experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
