Responsible for the effective management of the front office operations ensuring that all staff are knowledgeable of the operations, adhere to the policies and procedures of the front office, understand and know what to do when guests complaints, exhibit a sales attitude at all times, passionate and willing to go beyond the call of duty when needed. Part of the responsibility is to monitor all finances at the front office and maintains strong guests database.

FUNCTIONS:

I. Front Office Management & Guests Relations

  • Ensure the Front Office operates successfully and efficiently in accordance with HII standards.
  • Ensure that all daily V.I.P rooms, special guest rooms, long stay guest rooms for arrivals are blocked in advance and welcome amenities are appropriately ordered.
  • Ensure that all rooms are pre-blocked accordingly to arrival time and housekeeping is informed.
  • Work closely with Housekeeping and Engineering Department to ensure that rooms are blocked accordingly for maintenance.
  • Ensure strict control of room keys for guests and other departments.
  • Ensure that all floats (Front Desk, Assistant Manager, Concierge etc.) are used appropriately in accordance to policies & procedures set by the hotel. And that personnel with access to floats comply with international policies & procedures established by Finance.
  • Conduct frequent and thorough inspections together with the Housekeeping Manager, Sales Manager, Chief Engineer and relevant departments and takes appropriate actions for any faults and needed repairs.
  • Liaise with the Reservations to ensure the proper market mix to achieve the maximum room average rate.
  • Handle guest complaints and review compliments

II. Revenue Management & Cost control

  • Ensure that Front Office operates with a sales attitude, aware of hotel promotions and existing rates and take opportunities to upsell for the maximization of revenue.
  • Ensure all Front Office personnel are aware of all room sales revenue targets, new procedures and that they are kept informed of performance results and instructions.
  • Adhere to company credit policies to ensure all revenue expected will be received.

III. Leadership and personnel management

  • Through hands on management, supervises closely all Front Office employees in the performance of their duties in accordance with policies & procedures and applicable laws.
  • Conduct training courses for new employees, and regular "refresher" courses for newly hired and existing employees. Develops and assists with training activities focused on improving skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure that FO employees have complete understanding of Rules and Regulations and expected behavior is observed
  • Take proactive approach in establishing team work within the department
  • Ensure that the company policies and procedures are implemented and monitor compliance of the department
  • Ensure all employees maintain an up to date awareness of hotel product knowledge, current promotion,
  • policy changes and appropriate internal communication.
  • Monitor employee morale and provides mechanism for performance feedback and development.
  • Conduct annual Performance Appraisals providing honest and appropriate feedback.
  • Prepare bi-monthly schedules of staff with fairness
  • Monitor staff performance and ensures that assistance is provided when needed
  • Effectively communicate guiding principles and core values to all levels of employees.
  • Ensure that departmental goals are achieved
  • Review FO logbook daily to monitor all activities

IV. Others Duties

  • Attend to ManCom meetings as scheduled
  • Attend trainings and seminars
  • Recruit, select, motivate and develop Front Office employees to work following the operational, financial, administrative philosophies ensuring employees are multi skilled and perform multi tasks.
  • Instill and support the training initiatives and philosophies of the company and works closely with the Training Manager/HR
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
