Position Overview

The Merchant Acquisition Specialist is responsible for identifying, engaging, and onboarding new merchants to adopt our payment gateway solutions. This role focuses on expanding our merchant base through proactive outreach, relationship building, and consultative selling to drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Identify and prospect potential merchants (SMEs, retailers, e-commerce businesses) through various channels
  • Conduct market research to identify business opportunities and target merchant segments
  • Present and demonstrate payment gateway solutions to prospective merchants
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing merchant partners
  • Negotiate terms and close deals to meet acquisition targets
  • Coordinate with technical and operations teams for smooth merchant onboarding
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide regular reports on pipeline activity
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and payment technology developments
  • Conduct field visits and attend networking events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in fintech, payments, SaaS, or B2B sales
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (English and Filipino)
  • Excellent negotiation and closing abilities
  • Understanding of payment processing, e-commerce, or fintech
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Valid driver's license (preferred for field sales)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php25, Php40,000.00 per month
