Job Summary:
The Purchasing Staff is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring high-quality construction materials, products, goods, and services at the most cost-effective terms. The role requires maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring accurate documentation of all purchasing transactions to support the company's project timelines and budget goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers of construction materials, goods, and services.
- Negotiate and secure the most cost-effective contracts and deals with suppliers and vendors.
- Place bulk orders and manage purchase orders in accordance with project schedules.
- Prepare and submit cost analysis reports and purchasing summaries for management review.
- Review and ensure the quality of products and materials prior to approval and procurement.
- Make accurate scheduling requests for the timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date records of all orders, payments, receipts, and supplier communications.
- Report and document any damaged or faulty purchases immediately.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics/delivery teams, and warehouse staff for smooth receipt and inventory of goods.
- Maintain healthy, professional working relationships with existing vendors and continuously evaluate new potential suppliers.
- Support warehouse and site teams with any supply-related issues or requests.
