Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Processor, you'll be the financial gatekeeper, ensuring accuracy in vendor invoices, payment tracking, and reporting. Your expertise will support smooth operations across international supply chains-fueling a business that serves food-lovers around the world.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • 2-3 years of experience in cloud-based accounting, ideally with international clients
  • Experience in a trading or inventory-based business is preferred
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping processes
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Strong numeracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong grasp of professional English
  • High level of initiative and the ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities

  • Xero
  • Excel / Google Sheets
  • Lightyear
  • Slack

Your Daily Tasks

  • Accurately enter and classify invoices in Xero and Lightyear, ensuring data integrity and proper coding
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts, resolving discrepancies by liaising with the Purchasing team
  • Review and reconcile supplier statements, following up on outstanding items
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve invoice issues and obtain credit notes or updated documentation
  • Assist in reconciling bank and credit card accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Collaborate with employees and external parties to collect receipts, invoices, and financial statements as needed
  • Generate financial reports and analysis in Google Sheets, with proficient use of formulas, pivot tables, and lookups
  • Maintain weekly KPI tracking through a shared management dashboard
  • Monitor the accounts payable inbox, responding promptly or escalating queries where appropriate
