Job Summary:

Primeres is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our retail electricity supply business. The Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for a wide range of financial activities and will support on overseeing billing and collection processes, managing customer and supplier accreditation, and executing treasury functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Primary Function: Finance

· Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.

· Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance, identify trends, and provide insights.

· Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and presentations for management.

· Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

· Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

· Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements in the Philippines.

· Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide financial guidance.

Sub-Function 1: Billing and Collection

· Oversee the accurate and timely billing of electricity consumption to customers.

· Monitor and analyze customer accounts receivable, ensuring efficient collection processes and minimizing outstanding balances.

· Manage the billing and payment processes for suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.

· Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer/supplier inquiries related to payments.

· Develop and implement strategies to improve billing accuracy and collection efficiency.

· Prepare regular reports on billing and collection performance.

Sub-Function 2: Accreditation of New Customers and Suppliers

· Develop and implement policies and procedures for the accreditation of new electricity customers and suppliers.

· Conduct thorough financial assessments of potential customers and suppliers, including credit checks and financial statement analysis.

· Evaluate the creditworthiness and financial stability of applicants to mitigate financial risks.

· Maintain accurate records of accredited customers and suppliers.

· Collaborate with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to ensure a smooth accreditation process.

Sub-Function 3: Treasury Function

· Cash Management: Monitor daily cash balances, manage bank accounts, and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.

· Payment Processing: Execute and oversee various payment processes, including accounts payable, payroll, and other disbursements.

· Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash balances.

· Debt Management: Support the management of any company debt obligations.

· Liaison with Banks: Maintain relationships with financial institutions and manage banking requirements.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA license is an advantage.

· Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) as a Financial Analyst, preferably within the energy or utilities sector.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles (Philippine GAAP and IFRS).

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

· Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel.

· Experience with billing systems and accounts receivable/payable processes.

· Familiarity with treasury functions and cash management principles.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Familiarity with relevant Philippine regulations and industry practices is a plus.
