JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Recruitment Consultant (Technical) for Marine to join our team. This role is responsible for generating crew candidate lead lists based on the crew requirements and hiring standards provided by the Fleet Operations Group through TSDM Talent Sourcing Lead / Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in planning and implementing sourcing activities based on the requirements relayed by MAGSAYSAY's Talent Sourcing and Data Management (TSDM) team.
  • Validate with TSDM the type and number of crew to be sourced prior to the start of sourcing.
  • Perform various crew candidate-sourcing activities such as, but not limited to, tapping personal networks and acquiring databases of training institutions and allied professional organizations to fill the required crew complement of MAGSAYSAY.
  • Collect resumes from potential applicants and encourage them to log on to Magsaysay career website or apply in person at the Recruitment office (when applicable).
  • Endorse list of potential applicants or resumes gathered from sourcing activities to TSDM Sourcing Specialists for proper candidate screening/vetting, personnel data handling, test administration and endorsement to the Fleet Operations group.
  • Perform responsibilities (as applicable) identified in the Quality Management System of all strategic business units (SBUs).
  • Escalate major issues and concerns to Operations Manager and/or Talent Sourcing Team Leader / Manager for appropriate action.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulation and other relevant maritime industry standards.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by TSDM management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ex-crew or ex-organic employee of a reputable sea-based manning agency, preferably from Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC).
  • Experience or exposure to maritime crew recruitment or crewing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, industry certifications, and vessel types.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
  • An understanding of data governance and security principles.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft office applications i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word.
