Job Overview

Join ING Retail Tech PH as a Full Stack Backend Engineer where you will be part of a cross-functional team of talented individuals. Together, your team will work with the latest technologies to innovate and develop solutions. You will report to a Squad Lead who will guide your professional development and help you reach your full potential.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain reliable applications

· Write automated tests

· Setup CI/CD pipelines

· Adopt a DevOps and Agile mindset

· Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define and design features

· Incorporate security best practices into all stages of the development

· Contribute to the team's growth through mentorship and technical interview participation

· Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends

Key Capabilities/Experience

· Proven track-record of building backend solutions, including implementing RESTful APIs, interfacing with databases, and integrating with messaging services, using a modern tech stack

· Strong fundamentals in software development, including proficiency in OOP, functional programming, design patterns, concurrency, and TDD

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation

· Experience working in Agile, collaborating with teams, and demonstrating adaptability in a multicultural environment

· Willingness to learn cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and IT risk

Minimum Qualifications

Must Have

· Competency in Java 17 or higher,

· Competency in Spring and Spring boot

· Competency in Typescript

· Experience in code versioning tools, preferably Git

· Experience in Test Automation (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)

· Working knowledge in RESTful API Development

· Effective Communication

Good to Have

· Experience with database technologies such as SQL, JPA, Hibernate, etc.

· Working knowledge in Microservices Architecture, Containerization, and Orchestration

· Experience with CI/CD platforms, preferably Azure DevOps, and build tools such as Maven

· An Agile mindset
