QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a college degree: Accounting, Business or any related course
  • Must have a 2 years experience or more in accounting - (BIR / Efps)
  • Must have knowledge in Tax Regulations
  • Basic Accounting Skills
  • Attention to details, time management, organizational skills, analytical thinking, computer proficiency, communications skills, discretion and confidentiality, and willingness to learn.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1.Document Preparation & Filing

  • Assist in preparing tax returns (VAT, income tax, withholding tax)
  • File BIR forms and other government compliance reports (manual or via eFPS/eBIR)
  • Help gather and organize supporting documents like invoice, ORs, 2307s, etc.

2. Tax Compliance Monitoring

  • Track deadlines and ensure timely filing and payment of taxes
  • Maintain a tax calendar (monthly, quarterly, annual obligations)
  • Monitor BIR and LGU updates, circulars, or compliance changes

3. Reconciliation Tasks

  • Reconcile tax reports with accounting records (sales vs VAT returns)
  • Assist in reconciling expanded withholding tax (EWT) and final tax certificates (2307s, 2316s)

4. Record-Keeping

  • Maintain organized files for all tax documents, returns, and receipts
  • Ensure BIR-registered books and supporting schedulers are up to date

5. Coordination

  • Coordinate with suppliers/customers for 2307s and 2306s
  • Assist during internal or external tax audits and BIR assessments

6. Support in Tax Computation

  • Help in basic tax calculations (withholding taxes, fringe benefits tax, etc.)
  • Assist the Tax Officer or Accountant in computing annual tax obligations

7. Other Administrative Support

  • Assist in preparing transmittals, letters to BIR and other tax-related correspondences
  • Help prepare schedules required by auditors during year-end or tax reviews
  • Other tasks assigned by Supervisor/Manager
