YOUR ROLE

The Tax Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities in CEVA Logistics Philippines, ensuring full compliance with BIR regulations and global tax policies. This role plays a critical part in managing tax risks, optimizing tax positions, and supporting audits and reporting requirements.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Tax Computation & Filing

  • Review EWT, FWT, and VAT computations prepared by junior staff.
  • Perform quarterly and annual Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) calculations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and remittances.

Tax Journal Entries & Accruals

  • Review and approve tax-related journal entries including Input VAT utilization, CIT and FBT accruals.
  • Ensure proper documentation and alignment with accounting standards.

Tax Audit Management

  • Prepare and organize supporting documents for BIR audits and assessments.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Respond to audit queries and manage audit timelines and resolutions.

Tax Research & Advisory

  • Monitor and interpret new BIR issuances and assess their impact on operations.
  • Conduct periodic tax compliance reviews to anticipate audit risks.
  • Provide tax advisory support for business transactions and contracts.

Tax Record Maintenance

  • Maintain accurate tax journals, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure records.
  • Ensure completeness and accessibility of tax documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance
  • At least 3 years experience in finance and tax compliance
  • At least 3 years experience leading a team
  • Proficient in taxation & MS Excel
  • Must be a Team Player
  • Must be able to work independently
