Job Summary:

The Accounting for Taxation role is responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with all tax regulations and requirements. This position handles the accurate preparation, computation, and filing of all tax-related documents and returns, as well as coordinating with government agencies for tax submissions, payments, and audits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, EWT, Income Tax, etc.) in compliance with BIR regulations.
  • Compute and process all tax payments accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and update all tax-related schedules and supporting documents.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation of necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinate and assist in BIR audits and other government tax-related requirements.
  • Reconcile tax balances and ensure accuracy in general ledger tax accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate tax reports for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure that all supporting documents for tax filings are properly organized and filed.
  • Provide assistance in year-end tax planning and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with other accounting team members for financial reporting and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accountancy, or related field.
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or with plans to take the CPA examination.
  • With at least 1–2 years of experience in taxation, accounting, or related field (fresh graduates may also be considered).
  • Knowledgeable in BIR regulations, eFPS, and Alphalist preparation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and maintains confidentiality at all times.
