The Inventory Checker ensures accuracy of inbound and outbound inventory transactions by verifying and reconciling inventory movements during receipt and dispatch processes. Responsibilities include conducting physical counts, cross-referencing quantities with purchase orders and customer orders, and ensuring alignment with shipping documents and electronic records. The role involves promptly identifying and reporting discrepancies to supervisors, collaborating with warehouse personnel and logistics teams to resolve issues, and maintaining operational efficiency throughout the inventory transaction process.

Job Description:

Inventory Checking/Verification

  • Conduct physical counts of inbound inventory and verify quantities against purchase orders
  • Conduct physical counts of outbound inventory and verify against customer orders
  • Compare physical counts with electronic records to identify and resolve discrepancies

Physical Count Audit (Wall-to-Wall & Cycle)

  • Participate in wall-to-wall and cycle physical counts
  • Support the IC Specialist by providing knowledge of inventory movements and storage locations
  • Validate variances by working with the IC Specialist and the inventory encoder

Transactional Reconciliation

  • Reconcile received quantities with purchase orders to maintain accurate records
  • Verify outgoing shipments against customer orders for correct and timely delivery
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly and implement corrective actions

Document Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions
  • Update inventory logs with transactional data for real-time visibility
  • Document and report inventory discrepancies to facilitate resolution

Compliance and Process Adherance

  • Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and organizational policies
  • Conduct regular audits of transactional processes and identify deviations
  • Implement corrective actions to align processes with organizational standards

Job Specifications:

Education:

  • Graduate of Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of business work experience in finance and/or a warehouse position
  • At least 6 months in Inventory Checking (can be waived if candidate demonstrates strong knowledge and skills)

Training/Certification:

  • Basic Inventory Checking Orientation

Working Schedule:

  • Monday - Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Rotational assignment to identified warehouses (determined during application)
  • Varying shifts as required
