Senior Accountant

A. GENERAL ACCOUNTING
1. Read and master relevant provisions of contracts and/or related agreements supporting payments being processed
2. Master the calculation of amounts due and applicable taxes, including, but not limited to: (1) input VAT, and (2) expanded withholding taxes
3. Review Accounts Payable Vouchers (APVs) for all applicable disbursements and set up of entries in the accounting system.
4. Communicate details of payment to vendors, and suppliers, and other related information, whenever necessary
5. Prepare and analyze payable-related reports and schedules, as assigned
6. Prepare, analyze, and submit to internal users AR aging reports and related schedules within the required due dates
7. Prepare initial variance analysis of the abovementioned reports (comparison vs last year and budget, when applicable)
B. COST ACCOUNTING
1. Calculate landed cost of importations
2. Prepare entries to record importations and related transactions in the accounting system
3. Assist management in preparing cost estimates and pricing analysis
4. Prepare cost and inventory reports and corresponding analysis as required
5. Coordinate and work with Operations Teams on the conduct of regular physical counts of inventories and supplies
C. GOVERNMENT COMPLIANCE
1. Prepare and submit all applicable tax returns and supporting schedules for review and approval by Treasurer.
2. Prepare and file applicable BIR withholding tax returns (e.g., 1601-C, 1601-EQ, and other related forms).
3. File all applicable tax returns to the BIR's Electronic Filing and Payment System (EFPS).
4. Prepare reconciliation and supporting schedules for submission to the BIR, as required for tax assessments
5. Liaise with the following entities with respect to gathering and submission of requirements (ONLY) needed during registration and tax assessments
a. Local Government Unit
b. Bureau of Internal Revenue
c. Securities and Exchange Commission
d. Bureau of Customs
e. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas
f. Philippine Statistics Authority
g. Department of Trade and Industry
h. Other related government entities, as applicable
D. FINANCIAL REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
1. Prepare financial statements and related reports as required by management
2. Prepare analysis of selected balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, including bank reconciliation statements, as assigned
3. Prepare assigned journal entries
4. Coordinate with internal/external auditors and government agencies for document submissions and clarifications, whenever necessary
E OTHER TASKS
1. Review and verify payroll computations prior to processing and release.
2. Ensure the work area is clean, orderly, and properly secured
3. Organize files under one's responsibility
4. Ensure soft copies of all applicable documents are archived in the Company's document management system
5. Ensure hard copies of all applicable documents are stored in the Company's designated storage areas
6. Participate in special activities and/or projects as assigned by management
7. Act as backup or alternate of accountants handling payables, receivables and treasury-related tasks
8. Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System
9. Ensure employee compliance with safety and health standards
10.Perform other related tasks as may be assigned
